The Pickaway County Recorder’s Office plays a vital role in preserving public records and supporting county operations. The office is responsible for accurately recording all land transactions, maintaining permanent and accessible archives, and enforcing over 1,000 sections of Ohio law related to property records. In addition to its core recording duties, the office supports county governance by serving on the Records Commission, Automatic Data Processing Board, and Microfilming Board. It also manages financial operations, prepares reports, oversees payroll, and ensures compliance with state reporting requirements.
